Band Bio's
Band Members: (Click names below for more details & equipment)
Thom McFarland: One of the founding members of the band. He and his trusty Rickenbacker guitar have laid down rhythm & leads for nearly 30 years! He also contributes lead and background vocals.
Scott Hulse: Scott is another founding member, joining the band while still in high school at age 16! Handling Sax, percussion, lights, lead and background vocals, and various other synthesized instruments with his Midi Wind Controller, he's never missed a gig!
Tim Borer: Tim joined the band in June 07 on bass and vocals. More to follow....
Tony Virgulto: Tony just celebrated his 5 year anniversary with the band (Oct. 2003). Tony is a versatile & exacting player and regularly performs with several bands, including the DW Armstrong blues outfit, the Glamour Girls, One Way Ticket and the occasional pickup band (including the Elwoods). You can often find him lurking around in the drum dept. at any local music center. Tony was also Manager of Dixters Music in Milford in the late 80's.
Brad Hulse: Guitarist & Bassist, Brad is also one of the band's founding members. Former Mandrake & Metro guitarist, he took a leave of absence in 1984, forming the Rock Trio "Impulse" with Ken & Jim Bloxsom, and returned to Flashback in 1988. Duties include lead & background vocals, electric, acoustic & bass guitars, and other unusual stringed instruments as the mood strikes him, equipment setup & maintenance, band business & website management.
Bob Boshea: Bob has been with the band since the late 80's, and is responsible for presenting us to the world through paper speakers! A dedicated and hard-working guy, he tirelessly handles the sound reinforcement duties, (often a thankless and unforgiving job) and deals with everything from thunderstorms to cavernous halls to power outages, as well as tons of questions from audience members during the show's.
Shel Cooper Shel joined the band as Keybaordist/Vocalist in March 2008.
