News-February 2001
Feb. 24th
Another fun night at Zandri's. Some of our friends from the
Wallingford Elks Lodge were on hand for the event. Thanks to Barb Dsupin and the
crew at Wallingford Center Inc. for having us at their 9th annual dance.
Feb. 10th
The dance at Warsaw Park in Ansonia was a big success. Thanks to Derby BSA Troop 3 Parents for sponsoring the evening. About 500 people attended to
support the Scouts. Flashback has been asked to perform at next year's dance on
Feb. 9th, 2002.
Feb. 3rd
This was the first performance with the new Flashback lineup. The dance was held at The
Pyramid Shriners Hall on Wheelers Farm Road in Milford. It
was a great night. Excellent crowd, lot's of friends on hand to lend support to
the guys. From all accounts, the audience had a good time, and the band got rave
reviews. Mr. Bill Bloxsom Sr., (an accomplished Pro singer for many years) and
his wife were in the audience to catch the premier performance of their two
son's, Bill & Ken. Mr. Bloxsom used to entertain Marine troops during the
Pacific campaign in World War II, and recently had the honor of singing the
National Anthem for a Red Sox game at Fenway Park in Boston. Being a long time
Red Sox fan, this was a real thrill for Mr. B. (I told you he was a Pro!) Hey
boy's, where'd ya get them pipes?
Thanks to Linda Reed and Crew for having us and throwing a great party.
