News-August 2001

After a 14 day work adventure in Jamaica, Bill fell ill, and after visiting
the doctor on his return, was diagnosed with Pneumonia. Thankfully, he's
recovering nicely (as we witnessed only 11 days later at the Taste Of
Milford, where he put in a fine vocal performance).

Bob Pettinelli, our drummer, just sat in with the Vinney Carr Party Band
this past Saturday night in West Haven. A good crowd turned out to see the
show, and The Party Band kept 'em hoppin'! I'll post the pictures as soon as
I get them developed.

Well, Scott's off to Austria (pleasure) on the 9th, Bill's off to Jamaica
(business) on the 10th, and Ken's off to Maine (pleasure). Hope they enjoy
the time off!

It was a wicked hot night in Seymour for the Concert series on Wed. Aug.
8th. Thanks to the folks who braved the Death Valley heat to come to the
show! We were dripping! We'd like to thank the Shady Knoll Health Center for
sponsoring the show again this year, and also Ann Conroy for her work in
organizing the event.

The band played at the Savin Rock Festival in West Haven. Thankfully, the
weather held out (the forecast wasn't looking too good). A large crowd gathered
early and we had a great night. The audience was wonderful! This is one of
our favorite gig's each year. The stage is beautiful. We'd like to thank the Savin Rock Festival Committee and the City of West Haven for giving us the
opportunity to play here. We really appreciate it!
